Additionally, sample tubes equipped with orifices of varying diameters and ball plugs are supplied to accommodate different types and consistencies of asphalt materials. Once the desired temperature is reached, lift the ball plug, activate the timing switch, and the instrument automatically records the time required for 50 mL of the sample to flow out; this value represents the sample’s viscosity at that temperature.
