Description

Product Introduction

The asphalt rotary film oven (commonly referred to as the 85‑°C oven) is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in T0638‑2025, “Rotary Film Oven Aging Test for Asphalt,” of the People’s Republic of China industry standard JTG 3410‑2025, “Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering.” It is suitable for determining the mass loss of road petroleum asphalt after rotary film oven aging. Additionally, as required, it can be used to measure changes in properties such as penetration, viscosity, ductility, and brittle point of the asphalt residue following rotary film oven treatment, thereby evaluating the aging performance of the asphalt.
Structure

1. The main body of the oven is constructed from thin steel plates; the lower section houses the electrical control unit, the upper section serves as the oven chamber, and the rear is equipped with a turntable motor.

2. The chamber features a double‑walled, all‑stainless‑steel door; the observation window is rectangular; and the interior is equipped with an illumination lamp, a squirrel‑cage fan, a forced‑ventilation duct, ventilation ports, a turntable, and other components. The entire chamber shell is fabricated from stainless steel.

3. The oven is equipped with a small air compressor to supply the air required for testing. After being metered by a flowmeter on the control panel, the air enters the copper tubing coiled inside the oven for preheating, then is discharged through nozzles into the sample vials mounted on the rotating turntable. Within the oven, the airflow circulates in a defined direction under the combined action of a forced‑ventilation duct and a squirrel‑cage fan; any excess gas is vented from the upper overflow port to the outside of the oven.

4. The oven features dual-layer, dual-flow electric heating with both top and bottom heating elements.

5. The laboratory is equipped with a turntable rotating at 15 rpm, which can simultaneously hold eight glass vials with constricted necks containing asphalt specimens.
