Paint and Coating Testing Equipment

QMB-II Minimum Film-Forming Temperature Tester

Applicable standards: GB/T 9267-2008 and ISO 2115-76 are used to determine the minimum film‑forming temperature of polymer emulsions. When polymer emulsions are employed as surface‑treatment agents for coatings, adhesives, synthetic fibers, leather, paper, and other materials, their film‑forming properties constitute one of the most critical characteristics. By applying a polymer emulsion or latex paint onto a metal substrate, the water evaporates, allowing the polymer particles to interact and, at an appropriate temperature, to form a continuous, transparent film. The lowest temperature at which this film‑forming process can occur is defined as the minimum film‑forming temperature of the polymer emulsion, commonly abbreviated as MFT.

QNB - ISO Outflow Cup

Our company’s ISO flow cups are manufactured in accordance with the relevant provisions of the international standard ISO 24321, “Paints and varnishes — Determination of flow time using a flow cup” (fourth edition), and the national standard GB/T 6753.4, “Determination of paint flow time — ISO flow cup method,” while also taking into account actual production conditions. These flow cups are used to measure the flow time of Newtonian or near‑Newtonian liquids.

QND-1 Viscometer

It is suitable for measuring the conditional viscosity of paints and other related products (with an outflow time of no less than 20 seconds). Under specified temperature conditions, the time required for a fixed volume of sample to completely flow through a hole of prescribed diameter is measured in seconds.

QNF Paint Film Recoatability Tester

The re‑adhesiveness of the coating film is determined by placing a preheated weight on a filter paper disc positioned on the coating film. After drying under specified temperature and humidity conditions for a set period, the weight and filter paper are removed, and the area of adhered filter‑paper fibers is assessed using a 4× magnifying glass.

QNL-Type Coating Flow Meter

This standard applies to the determination of the flow properties of liquid solvent‑based, two‑component, waterborne, and solid thermoplastic road marking paints used for applying various types of traffic markings on public roads in China. It may also be used as a reference for assessing the flow characteristics of road marking paints employed in urban roads, airports, ports, industrial and mining sites, forestry areas, and other similar settings.

QNQ-type falling-ball viscometer

The QNQ-type falling-ball viscometer is suitable for measuring the viscosity of high-viscosity, transparent coating products and is classified as a laboratory instrument. The viscosity it measures is a conditional viscosity, defined as the time, in seconds (s), required for a steel ball of specified dimensions to fall vertically through a glass tube containing the sample, between two marked lines, at a specified temperature.

QPG Coating Flow and Scraper Tester

It is typically used in conjunction with a sagging‑resistance tester to evaluate the leveling (dispersion) and sagging characteristics of coatings during application and drying, enabling comparative testing to achieve the desired surface finish. As a specialized test, it saves time, allowing for rapid assessment of product compliance and facilitating swift formulation adjustments.

QSG Iron Drill Colorimeter

The color of clear varnishes, linseed oils, and transparent thinners is determined. Test procedure: Within a standard light box, select the two color shades from the 18‑step scale that most closely match the sample’s color, and report the results by indicating the scale number corresponding to the identified shade.

QTB Putty Flexibility Tester

Used in the coatings and painting industry to assess cracking and delamination of putty film layers after bending.

QTGU-type double-blade I-beam preparer

For the preparation of standard paint film specimens

QTG Frame-Type Paint Film Coater

Different coatings and different test methods require the preparation of coating films of varying thicknesses, and the uniformity of the coating film on a single specimen or a set of specimens is a prerequisite for all testing procedures.

QTX Coating Film Elasticity Tester

The paint film flexibility tester is used to determine the flexibility of paint films. It involves applying a paint film to a metal substrate and bending it around mandrels of varying diameters (in millimeters) to assess the film’s flexibility.

QTY-10A Paint Film Cylindrical Bend Tester

The flexibility of a paint film is evaluated by its ability to deform along with the substrate under specified standard conditions without sustaining damage. This product is used in paint manufacturing and application for performing bend tests on coatings such as colored paints and varnishes.

QTY-32 Coating Film Bend Test Instrument

This instrument is designed to evaluate the resistance of paint and varnish coatings—whether single-layer or multi-layer systems—to cracking or delamination from a metal substrate when bent around a cylindrical mandrel under standard conditions. It complies with the national standard GB 6742‑86 and is also in accordance with ISO 1519, ASTM D 522, and DIN 53152.

QTZ Paint Film Conical Bend Tester

This instrument is suitable for determining the resistance of paint and varnish coatings—both single-layer and multi‑layer systems—to cracking or delamination from a metal substrate when bent around a conical mandrel under standard conditions, and it can also measure the elongation of such coatings.

QUL Wheel-Rail Wet-Film Thickness Gauge

It is primarily used to measure the thickness of wet paint films and can provide a rough estimate of the film’s dry‑film thickness. This instrument is suitable for both laboratory use and production‑line quality control.

QWH Paint Film Non-Imprint Tester

The film‑free‑mark tester is developed in accordance with GB 9273 and ISO 3678 standards and is suitable for evaluating the degree of dryness—referred to as “no‑mark”—of coatings on paints, varnishes, or related products.

QWX Stain-Resistance Tester

The QWX coating stain‑resistance testing machine is designed and manufactured in accordance with the relevant provisions of international standards for coating stain‑resistance testing.

QXD Scraper Fineness Meter
