Different coatings and testing procedures require coating films of varying thicknesses, and the uniformity of the coating on a single test specimen or a set of specimens is a prerequisite for all analytical measurements. To ensure this, a high-precision applicator can produce films of different thicknesses while minimizing human error, thereby enabling tests to be conducted under consistent conditions. The frame-type applicator has been designed and manufactured in accordance with internationally established practices, tailored to domestic requirements. Its key features include high mold‑making accuracy, a compact footprint, multi‑purpose functionality, and the ability to prevent paint overflow during application, making it suitable for preparing thin films on steel sheets, plastics, and wooden boards.
