Tape Initial Adhesion Tester

The initial adhesion tester is widely used in industries producing adhesive tapes, protective films, pressure-sensitive adhesives, labels, foam materials, and other adhesive products. The test procedure involves adhering the adhesive side of a tape sample to a test panel inclined at 30° (or another specified angle), then sequentially releasing steel balls of increasing size onto the sample and allowing them to roll freely. The ball number corresponding to a ball that remains adhered to the sample for at least 5 seconds is recorded as the tape’s initial adhesion value.

ISO Architectural Sealant Structural Adhesive Extruder

The construction sealant extruder is a testing instrument used to determine the extrudability of construction sealant materials. It employs compressed air to extrude a specified volume of sealant from a standard apparatus under defined conditions. For single-component sealants, extrudability is reported as the volume of sealant extruded per unit time; for multi-component sealants, the pot life is indicated by means of a graphical representation.

The principle involves filling a metal ring or a metal mold frame with the sealant to form a test specimen; the mass of the metal ring or mold frame together with the specimen is measured in air and in a liquid before and after filling, from which the sealant’s density is calculated.
