Concrete rebar detectors are primarily used to determine the location, distribution, and orientation of reinforcing steel in concrete structures, as well as to measure the concrete cover thickness and rebar diameter. They are employed for quality acceptance inspections of concrete structures during construction, for inspecting reinforcement in bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure, and for assessing the safety and durability of structures under construction. Additionally, they are utilized to quantify rebar quantities during the evaluation and strengthening of existing structures, and to detect the orientation and distribution of ferromagnetic and conductive materials within non‑magnetic media.
