Concrete rebar detectors are primarily used to determine the location, distribution, and orientation of reinforcing steel in concrete structures, as well as to measure cover thickness and rebar diameter. They are employed for quality inspection and acceptance of concrete structures during construction, and are also applied to rebar detection in bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure. These devices facilitate assessments of the safety and durability of structures under construction, verify rebar quantities during the evaluation and reinforcement or retrofitting of existing structures, and detect the orientation and distribution of ferromagnetic and conductive materials within non‑magnetic media.
