This instrument is used to measure the thickness of thick‑type fire‑protective coatings and complies with the requirements of GB/T 50621‑2010 “Technical Standard for On‑Site Inspection of Steel Structures,” GB 50205‑2020 “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures,” and CECS 24:90 “Technical Specification for the Application of Fire‑Protective Coatings on Steel Structures.” It consists of a needle rod and a slidable disk; the disk remains perpendicular to the needle rod and is equipped with a fixing device. It may also be used to measure the thickness of other suitable non‑metallic materials.
