Description
Product Introduction:
The DWC‑40 low‑temperature impact specimen cooling bath is a newly developed compressor‑based refrigeration unit designed in accordance with the requirements for low‑temperature equipment specified in GB/T 229, “Metallic Charpy Notched Impact Test Method.” This equipment employs an imported compressor for refrigeration and utilizes the principle of thermal equilibrium combined with circulating agitation to achieve automatic, uniform cooling and stable temperature control of specimens, fully meeting all temperature‑control specifications stipulated in the national standard GB/T 229. With its simple and convenient operation and high efficiency, it is the ideal apparatus for cooling and maintaining the temperature of specimens in metallic low‑temperature impact testing. It can also be used for other low‑temperature measurement and testing applications.
Reference standard:
GB/T 229 “Method for Charpy Notched Impact Test of Metals”
ISO 148 “Charpy Impact Test for Metallic Materials”
Equipment Features:
The equipment is fitted with casters at the base for easy relocation; it includes a sample basket for convenient loading and retrieval of specimens; and it features a drain port for easy recovery of the refrigerant and cleaning. It also provides temperature‑reach alarms and insulation‑duration timing functions.
Protection features: whole-unit overload protection, leakage protection, phase-loss protection, phase-sequence protection, grounding protection, compressor overload protection, system pressure protection, and medium over-temperature protection (to prevent dry‑burning), among others.
Structure and Operating Principle:
This equipment comprises a compressor-based refrigeration system, a heating unit, a temperature control system, a cooling tank, a stirring system, and an automatic timing and alarm device, among other components.

Installation and Usage:
This cryostat features simple installation, convenient operation, rapid cooling, and high temperature-control accuracy. The specific installation steps are as follows:
1. Place the cryostat horizontally and lock the casters.
2. Connect the device to a 220V power supply and turn on the power switch.
3. Set the temperature control—turn on the cooling button—turn on the convection fan—set the constant‑temperature duration.
4. Once the set temperature and the preset constant‑temperature duration are reached, the buzzer sounds an alarm; when the constant‑temperature timer is turned off, the buzzer stops sounding, indicating that the constant‑temperature phase has ended. To resume, re‑activate the constant‑temperature timer; when the temperature reaches the set point and the designated constant‑temperature period elapses, the buzzer will sound again.
