Description
Product Introduction:
In the Charpy notched impact test for metallic materials, the quality of the notch machined into the specimen is one of the key factors determining the accuracy of the test. Conventional machining methods such as turning, milling, planing, and grinding are not only time‑consuming but also make it difficult to produce specimens that meet the required specifications.
The pull‑testing machine is a convenient and efficient device for producing V‑ and U‑notch specimens. Developed in response to the practical needs of a broad user base and drawing on years of manufacturing experience from industry peers, it is a highly functional testing instrument that offers high precision and excellent specimen quality.
This notched‑specimen lathe features a hydraulic double‑tool design, enabling simultaneous machining of two specimen notches—one V‑notch and one U‑notch (or two V‑notches or two U‑notches). No tool changes are required for either V‑notch or U‑notch machining; each notch can be produced in just 9 seconds. The operation is exceptionally simple and reliable, and the resulting V‑ and U‑notches fully comply with the relevant requirements of domestic and international standards, including GB/T 229 “Metallic Materials — Charpy Impact Test Method,” ASTM E23, ISO 148, and others.
Years of practical experience have demonstrated that, aside from optical curve grinders, the impact‑specimen notching broaching machine is currently the only domestically available equipment capable of producing qualified specimen notches. The broach used in this machine is meticulously crafted from W18Cr4V steel, offering high hardness and excellent wear resistance; each tool can process approximately ten thousand specimens.
This testing machine boasts high precision, long service life, low noise, convenient operation, and reliable stability, making it an ideal specialized device for notch preparation of impact test specimens in the physicochemical laboratories of metallurgy, boiler and pressure vessel, vehicle and shipbuilding, construction machinery, and research institutions.
