Description
Product Introduction:
The Rockwell hardness test was first proposed in 1914 by Americans S. P. Rockwell and H. M. Rockwell. Rockwell hardness is a measure of material hardness determined by the depth of plastic deformation caused by an indenter; one hardness unit corresponds to a displacement of 0.002 millimeters. In Rockwell testing, different indenters and test forces yield distinct combinations, each corresponding to a specific Rockwell scale. Three scales are commonly used, covering virtually all widely employed metallic materials.
The CHR-150TS touchscreen Rockwell hardness tester series is a next‑generation, high‑tech smart instrument capable of measuring the hardness of internal surfaces on annular, tubular, and frame‑type components, as well as the base surfaces of protruding features. It employs a closed-loop loading control system, delivering high test force accuracy and excellent repeatability and stability of readings. The housing is finished with an automotive‑grade baked‑on paint process, featuring a modern design and offering outstanding reliability, ease of operation, and reproducibility. With comprehensive functionality, one‑button operation, automatic measurement, and clear, intuitive display, it also incorporates automatic application and release of the major test force, enabling hardness testing across the full range of Rockwell scales.
Main uses and scope of application:
Surface‑hardened steels, copper and aluminum alloy sheets, strip steel, cemented carbides, as well as galvanized, chrome‑plated, and tin‑plated materials—along with various metallic materials undergoing surface heat treatment or chemical surface treatments—are all suitable for testing. This includes castings and forgings, as well as flat and cylindrical workpieces. Applications span the steel, nonferrous metals, automotive, and aerospace industries; additionally, it is used for cemented carbides, ceramics, and stainless steels. Due to its broad range of applicability, Rockwell hardness testing has become widely adopted in manufacturing, serving as a key method for quality inspection and for determining optimal machining processes. The Rockwell hardness tester is a commonly used instrument in production facilities, colleges and universities, and research institutions for conducting hardness tests and supporting teaching and research activities.
Key Functions and Features:
1. The 8-inch LCD touch display provides a clear, intuitive visualization of hardness values, converted hardness scales, test methods, test forces, brightness, initial test force hold time, total test force hold time, elastic recovery time, number of measurements, statistical data, test duration, and other key parameters of the testing process.
2. It can test the hardness of inner surfaces of annular, tubular, and frame‑type parts, as well as the bottom surfaces of boss‑type features.
3. It can display real-time force values and indentation depth curves.
4. The system features a built-in calibration function that can automatically adjust the error range to 80–120%, or perform separate calibrations for low and high values.
5. When testing curved surfaces, automatic correction is applied based on the standard surface radius.
6. It can store 100 sets of test data, allowing you to view the data at any time, as well as delete the current data or clear all test data.
7. The units of test force can be converted between each other; the conversion units are: (kgf, N).
8. Can simultaneously display: maximum value, minimum value, average value, number of tests, and product name.
9. The main interface can simultaneously display four conversion scales and allows switching among the following standards: Chinese National Standard (GB), American Standard (ASTM), and International Standard (ISO). A total of 20 measurement scales are supported for conversion, including HRA, HRB, HRC, HRD, HRE, HRF, HRG, HRK, HR15N, HR30N, HR45N, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, HK, HBW, HS, HBS, HV, and Rm (tensile strength).
10. The screen sleep timer can be set; after a prolonged period of inactivity, the device automatically enters sleep mode, saving energy and protecting the environment.
11. The upper and lower measurement limits can be set and displayed on the main measurement interface; non‑conforming values trigger automatic alerts.
10. The operating system supports a total of 14 languages, which can be switched at will: Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish,
Portuguese, Turkish, Czech, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese;
11. The built-in printer can print data in real time, and an optional USB interface is available for exporting data to a USB flash drive for storage and analysis.
12. High-precision grating displacement sensors ensure measurement accuracy.
13. The maximum test height can reach 300 mm, meeting the testing requirements of a wider range of products.
14. The housing is manufactured via one‑step die‑casting, ensuring a stable, deformation‑free structure that can operate reliably in harsh environments; the automotive-grade paint finish offers superior scratch resistance.
15. We possess the capability for independent research and development, design, and manufacturing; our machines come with lifetime support for parts replacement, maintenance, and upgrades.
