In the preparation of metallographic specimens, grinding and polishing are indispensable steps; after these processes, the specimen achieves a mirror‑like, highly polished surface. The MP‑1B metallographic specimen grinder/polisher employs an inverter for speed control, enabling stepless adjustment of the grinding/polishing disc’s rotational speed between 50 and 1,000 r/min. By switching between metallographic sandpapers and polishing cloths, both grinding and polishing can be performed, offering broad versatility. The housing is integrally molded by vacuum forming, giving it a modern appearance, while the machine features smooth rotation, low noise, user‑friendly operation, and high efficiency. It also incorporates a built‑in cooling system that cools the specimen during grinding and polishing, preventing overheating that could damage the metallographic microstructure.
