It is also employed for drying, baking, heat treatment, and other processes.

It is used to simulate the vacuum, cold‑black, and solar radiation conditions of space in a ground‑based environment, enabling thermal vacuum tests and thermal balance tests. It can also replicate the extreme thermal conditions of the vacuum environment, allowing for thermal vacuum testing of test articles while providing effective control, monitoring, and recording of their temperatures in the vacuum. This furnishes the essential conditions required for conducting tests on relevant aerospace products. During these simulated tests, the test articles are typically operated under working conditions, with their operational and environmental parameters measured.
