Product Introduction:
This instrument is designed to simulate, in a laboratory setting, the abrasive action of automobile tires on road pavements. By subjecting pavement aggregates to accelerated abrasion, it enables the determination of their resistance to polishing, thereby providing a scientific basis for selecting appropriate surface‑course aggregates to construct pavement sections with specified friction coefficients and for the rational development and utilization of aggregate resources. It also helps shorten the research cycle for anti‑skid pavements and offers technical guidance for the development of engineered aggregates.
Structure:
1. Transmission mechanism — including the motor, pulleys, and other components.
2. Road wheel assembly — used to mount 14 test specimens.
3. Sand‑and‑water‑draining device — comprising a sand hopper, a water tank, and a chute, used for storing abrasive materials and controlling the flow rates of sand and water.
4. Counterweight Assembly — comprising a lever, rubber wheels, counterweight weights, and a protective guard, among other components, to ensure the prescribed pressure on the road wheels.
5. Mold for testing — used to fabricate stone specimens.
6. Electrical control unit — used to regulate the number of rotations required for the road wheels and the amount of sand supplied.
