Description
Product Introduction
This laboratory is dedicated to the thermal performance testing of fan coil units and can accurately measure their cooling capacity, heating capacity, and airflow rates. It also supports other standard‑condition tests and extended‑range experiments, providing customers with a comprehensive testing suite that meets the requirements for product sampling inspections as well as product development and system‑matching applications. The facility comprises a single test chamber designed to satisfy the environmental and climatic conditions required for fan coil unit testing, and it is equipped with an airflow measurement system.
Product Features:
The performance test rig for fan coil units comprises six major subsystems: the control system, the environmental chamber, the air‑flow system, the water‑flow system, the water‑cooling system, and the air‑cooling system.
1. Control System: Primarily composed of an system control console, electrical components, a microcomputer system, sensors, instruments, pushbuttons, and other automatic and electrical control elements.
2. Environmental Chamber: Constructed from polyurethane‑cored, single‑sided stainless steel sandwich panels, it is equipped with a specimen mounting rack, as well as air and water circulation systems.
3. Airflow System: Following the direction of airflow, the system consists, in sequence, of a static pressure chamber, a mixing chamber, a mixer, an air sampling device, a receiving chamber, a front flow‑conditioning plate, an exhaust chamber, a rear flow‑conditioning plate, an auxiliary fan, an air damper, and a return‑air duct. It is primarily used to measure air flow rate and the dry‑bulb and wet‑bulb temperatures of the air.
4. Water Circuit System: Composed of a chilled-water system and a hot-water system, it is primarily used to measure water temperature and flow rate. It includes a spray pump, a supply water tank, a fine‑adjustment water tank, piping, an electromagnetic flowmeter, a flow‑control valve, a drain valve, a reversing sampling and weighing system, and the test specimen.
(1) Chilled water system: It mainly consists of the following equipment:
a. The fully enclosed refrigeration compressor–condenser unit is water-cooled; due to its relatively small cooling capacity, two compressors are installed.
b. Tank-type evaporator (with agitator): The evaporator is a tank-type direct‑evaporation unit, operating at an evaporation temperature of –2°C to –5°C. It has an evaporation surface area of 20 m² and is configured in two separate sections for easy adjustment. An agitator is installed to ensure uniform water temperature throughout the tank.
(2) Hot Water System: The hot water tank in the hot water system has a capacity of approximately 0.8 m³ and is designed to operate in coordination with the tank-type evaporator. A tubular electric heater with a power rating of 16 kW is installed inside the hot water tank.
5. Water‑cooling system: It mainly consists of cooling pipelines, a refrigeration unit, a heater, a water circulation pump, a water‑tank evaporator, and a supply water tank. Its primary function is to maintain the temperature of the supply water tank and provide constant‑temperature cooling water.
6. Air‑cooling system: Primarily composed of refrigeration and insulation piping, a refrigeration unit, an air heater, and a circulating fan. Its main function is to maintain a constant ambient temperature. The system employs a Copeland direct‑expansion air-conditioning unit in conjunction with an insulated box‑type fan equipped with an evaporator, supplemented by a controllable heater, to ensure that the external environment meets the steady‑state conditions specified in the relevant standards. The refrigeration units selected by our company not only feature over…
It features multiple self-diagnostic protection functions, including pressure monitoring, overheating protection, and low-temperature start-up. Moreover, thanks to the use of a low‑temperature ester‑based synthetic oil in the main unit, it can operate maintenance‑free in any ambient environment, ensuring long‑term, trouble‑free continuous operation.
