Description
Product Introduction:
A Mooney viscometer is an instrument in which, at a specified test temperature, the viscometer’s rotor rotates at a fixed speed, applying a defined shear stress to the sample. The resistance of the rubber compound to this applied torque is measured; the greater the resistance, the higher the Mooney viscosity and the lower the plasticity. Under conditions where the mold cavity and rotor geometry are constant, the test temperature, rotor speed, and torque directly influence the accuracy of the Mooney viscosity measurement.
Features and Applications:
Microcomputer control, data display, and automatic calibration; equipped with an imported intelligent digital temperature controller for easy setpoint adjustment, a wide temperature‑control range, and high reliability. All data can be automatically plotted, calculated, and printed.
Reference standard:
Complies with GB/T 1232 « Determination of Mooney Viscosity of Unvulcanized Rubber 》, GB/T 1233 "Initial Curing Characteristics of Rubber Compounds" Determination of Mooney viscosity meter the Law and standards such as ISO 289 and ISO 667.

Introduction to the Software Functions of the Rubber Mooney Viscometer:
1. Test Standardization: Complies with standards including GB/T 1232 “Determination of Mooney Viscosity of Unvulcanized Rubber,” GB/T 1233 “Determination of Initial Curing Characteristics of Rubber Compounds by the Mooney Viscometer Method,” as well as ISO 289 and ISO 667, among others.
2. Specimen Information: The designated compound number, such as “Tire No. 5,” “RBS6,” and so on. If the user wishes to add a title or description to the printed drawing, they may enter any text of their choice.
3. Special Note on High‑Quality Features: A key advantage of the user‑friendly design is the ability to adjust the measurement time during testing. For example, if the rubber compound is estimated to require a 20‑minute measurement, but the actual test reveals that t18 is already measurable at 11 minutes—indeed, t18 can be detected as early as the 9th or 10th minute—then, for a small rotor, the measurement is complete; for a large rotor, too, the measurement is finished. At this point, there is no need to continue further. By pressing “Save,” the experiment immediately stops at the 9th or 10th minute, generating a complete Mooney curve, calculating all relevant data, and storing the data curve in the database. If, after 20 minutes, neither t18 nor t35 has been measured, the system will automatically advance the measurement by increments of several minutes (manual adjustment of the measurement time is also possible) until either t18 or t35 is detected. If, after 200 minutes, neither t18 nor t35 has been measured, the measurement will terminate automatically. This feature undoubtedly greatly simplifies operation for users, saving valuable time and reducing rubber material consumption.
4. Auto Scale: After measurement is complete, the software automatically adjusts the Y‑axis scale—ranging from 0 to 100 mV or 0 to 200 mV—based on the magnitude of the measured values, resulting in a more visually appealing display. When comparing multiple curves, even for entirely different rubber compounds with distinct curve shapes and varying measurement durations, the data can still be readily compared.
5. Databases: The software comes pre-configured with 100 numbered databases. Each database can store an unlimited number of measurement data sets. To facilitate future retrieval of tens of thousands of data sets spanning months, years, or even decades, users can organize data from different time periods into separate databases—this is precisely the purpose of assigning distinct database addresses.
6. Upon completion of the test, results are automatically saved; the system also automatically calculates the maximum Mooney viscosity, minimum Mooney viscosity, tH, tL, Mend, Tend, Δ15, Δ30, M1+4, M1+5, M1+6, M1+7, M1+8, M1+F, and other parameters.
