Product Introduction

This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in T0631‑1993, “Asphalt Floatation Test,” of the national industry standard JTG 3410‑2025, “Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering.” It is suitable for determining the floatation time of materials such as the residue remaining after distillation of slow‑setting liquid petroleum asphalt and coal tar asphalt. The floatation time of asphalt is defined as the time, in seconds, required for a sample to soften gradually in a designated floatation apparatus upon immersion in a water bath at a specified temperature, until it is ruptured by the water. Unless otherwise stated, the test temperature for residues from the distillation of liquid petroleum asphalt is 50°C, while for coal tar asphalt it is either 32°C or 5°C. This instrument features a dual‑tank design with independent temperature control for both the low‑temperature and high‑temperature baths. Users can pre‑set the curing and test temperatures, ensuring convenient operation and significant time savings.
