A sealing tester, also known as a seal integrity tester, seal tester, sealing test machine, seal performance tester, or seal integrity detector, is a testing device used to evaluate the sealing performance of packaging. Test principle:
By evacuating the vacuum chamber, an internal–external pressure differential is established across the specimen immersed in water, allowing observation of gas leakage from within the specimen to assess its sealing performance. Alternatively, by creating a pressure differential through vacuum evacuation, the specimen is subjected to expansion, and its ability to regain its original shape upon release of the vacuum is evaluated to determine its sealing integrity.

Interface Overview:
The instrument features a large touchscreen for display and control. After connecting the power and turning on the device, you can operate it simply by pressing the buttons on the screen—making it easy, convenient, and equipped with a user-friendly human–machine interface.

Start: Enter the test phase;
Stop: Stop the experiment;
Breaking the Void: Manual vacuum breaking completed.
Save: Save the test data.
Print: Print sampling data via the built-in printer. (Optional)
3 Test Plan

Test mode: Standard mode, time mode, and multi-stage constant-pressure mode;
Standard Mode: Use standard mode when testing pressures above 40 kPa.
Time mode: Use time mode when testing pressures below 40 kPa.
Multi‑stage constant‑voltage mode: We recommend using the multi‑stage constant‑voltage mode.
Test Product Name: You can enter the sample product name.
Unit Selection: kPa, MPa, bar, PSI;
Vacuum value setting: Set the test vacuum value, with a maximum setting of 90 kPa.
Holding time: Set the holding pressure time, with a maximum setting of 999,999 seconds.
Pressure maintenance:

“No pressure-holding function.”
Note: Once the set vacuum level is reached, the system automatically enters the pressure‑holding mode, and the pressure‑holding countdown begins. If the vacuum pressure inside the chamber falls below the set value, the equipment will automatically perform a pressure‑boosting cycle.

5 Settings
5.1 General Settings

Storage: Selecting “Automatic” means the data will be stored automatically upon completion of the test, while selecting “Manual” means the data will be stored manually.
Whether to display the qualification window: Selecting “Yes” will display a window asking whether the test is合格; selecting “No” will prevent the window from appearing.
Language: Supports Chinese-English bilingualism
Power-on automatic zeroing: Select “On” to reset the current vacuum reading to zero upon startup; select “Off” to display the chamber’s pressure value.
Time setting: In most cases, no calibration is required, as the device is pre‑set at the factory. If you need to adjust the settings yourself, tap the Settings button to bring up the onscreen keyboard, enter the year, month, day, hour, and minute, then confirm to return.
5.2 System Settings

The audit trail interface provides a clear view of user activities, including the time and date of each operation, the user who performed it, and the details of the action. Logs can be navigated by paging forward or backward.
5.3 User Management
The user management interface includes a user list, a “Create User” button, a “Delete User” button, and fields for username, password, and permissions. Clicking the “Create User” button brings up a new user creation window, where you can enter a username and password; after saving, click “Return.”

Preparation before powering on:
- First, connect the sealed container according to the instrument’s interface markings.
- Check the oil level of the vacuum pump oil.
- Fill the sealed container with purified water up to the marked line.
- Prepare the test samples.
Test steps:
- Connect the power supply and turn on the switch located on the right rear side of the instrument to power up the device.
- Place the test product inside the sealed container, then close the lid (ensure the sealing ring is properly aligned and that the liquid level does not exceed the recommended height).
- Set the vacuum level and holding time according to the test requirements.
- After completing the settings, press the “Start” button. The instrument will automatically evacuate the chamber; once the vacuum level reaches the set value, it will begin timing. Upon reaching the hold‑pressure duration, the instrument will automatically vent the chamber (or the operator may manually vent it), at which point the test is complete.
- After the instrument’s vacuum reading has been reset to zero, open the chamber lid and remove the test sample.
Note 1: It is recommended to use distilled water or colorless, impurity-free tap water. After the specimen is immersed in water, the distance between its upper surface and the water level shall be no less than 25 mm. Ensure that all parts of the specimen can be observed for leakage during the test; one or multiple specimens may be tested at a time.
Note 2: During the vacuum‑evacuation and pressure‑holding phases, carefully observe the specimen for any signs of leakage by checking for the presence of continuous bubbles; isolated, single bubbles are generally not considered evidence of leakage. Alternatively, after the test is completed, remove the specimen, open it, and inspect it: if no water has penetrated, the specimen is deemed合格; otherwise, it is不合格.
