Description
Product Introduction
It is used for durability design, production quality control, and project acceptance in various concrete structures, including offshore and hydraulic engineering, bridges, tunnels, and industrial and civil buildings. It measures the electrical charge (in coulombs) passing through a concrete specimen over a 6-hour period to assess the concrete’s resistance to chloride ion penetration, and can also be employed to evaluate the compactness of concrete.
Implementation Standard:
Code for Concrete Testing in Water Transport Engineering, JTJ 270-98
Standard for Test Methods of Long-Term Performance and Durability of Ordinary Concrete (GB/T 50082)
◆ U.S. ASTM C1202 and Hong Kong JTJ275 standards for the chloride ion penetration resistance of concrete
Standard No. 160 [2005] of the China Railway Construction Corporation
Standard for Inspection and Evaluation of Concrete Durability (JGJ/T 193)
Features:
The new instrument features a 7-inch color touchscreen for intuitive, easy-to-read operation and includes an automatic screen‑saver. All steps—data acquisition, storage, and calculations—can be performed standalone, eliminating the hassle of unstable online connections and disconnections. Results can be directly exported to a USB flash drive and opened in Excel on a PC. During testing, you can also export the current experiment’s data. Additionally, the device is equipped with power‑failure memory: if a power outage occurs during an experiment, it will automatically resume from where it left off when power is restored.
Agile and Durable: In China, standard concrete test specimens are predominantly cubic blocks measuring 100 × 100 × 100 mm, which differ from the cylindrical specimens used in ASTM C1202. This discrepancy often poses practical challenges when applying the ASTM standard. Accordingly, based on years of research, our company has implemented several enhancements to the ASTM C1202 testing system. The fixture design accommodates both cubic and cylindrical concrete specimens, significantly reducing specimen preparation time. A uniquely engineered sealing ring ensures that both specimen types can be directly mounted for testing without the need for adhesive—except for conventionally smooth-surfaced specimens or those with chipped edges or non‑rough surfaces. Furthermore, the electrode assembly of the specimen holder is made of corrosion‑resistant material, enabling long‑term use.
