Specimens for metallographic and petrographic analysis that are small, difficult to handle, or irregular in shape are mounted. After mounting, the specimens can be easily ground and polished, and they can also be examined under a metallographic microscope to obtain an accurate view of the desired microstructure, as well as tested for hardness on a hardness tester.

1. An innovative integrated heating–cooling design reduces the sample mounting time to just 6 minutes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
2. Research was conducted on the development of a cyclic jog‑pressure control system, associated methods, and specimen‑preparation techniques, enabling controlled and sustained pressure during mounting to enhance both the quality and hardness of mounted specimens.
