I. Applicable Standards
The single-lever consolidation apparatus is used for soil compression tests to determine the relationship between soil stress and deformation, and to calculate parameters such as the coefficient of consolidation, the compression index, the rebound index, and the unit settlement.
Technical specifications:
1. Load pressure: 12.5 kPa–3200 kPa/30 cm², 12.5 kPa–1600 kPa/50 cm²
2. Load arm: 20:1 and 24:1 (bearing‑type design, enabling repeated handling and transport to ensure the bearing‑lever ratio remains accurate and undeformed)
3. Specimen area: two types of specimens, 30 cm² and 502 cm².
4. Instrument Structure: All-steel construction
5. Three sets of consolidation vessels: fabricated in a single stamping operation from brass sheet, ensuring watertight integrity; the dial gauge stem and clamp are mounted on the base plate, facilitating convenient sample handling; the vessels can be easily disassembled without being affected by dial gauges or sensors.
