Product Introduction:

This instrument is suitable for testing the resistance of coated fabrics to repeated flexural failure.

Reference standard:

BS 3424 P9, ISO 7854, and GB/T 12586 Method C, among others.

Test principle:

A rectangular strip of coated fabric is sewn into a cylindrical shape. The coated‑fabric cylinder is placed between two disks and secured in position; one of the disks oscillates about its axis through approximately 90°, inducing torsional deformation in the cylindrical specimen. Simultaneously, the other disk performs reciprocating motion along its axis, compressing the cylindrical specimen along its length. This combined torsion and compression is maintained until a predetermined number of cycles is reached or the specimen exhibits visible failure.
