The testing apparatus consists primarily of a flat‑plate electrode assembly and an insulation resistance tester.

This instrument’s test setup consists primarily of a flat‑plate electrode assembly and a high‑resistance meter. Its basic principle is to apply DC voltages of varying ranges to the specimen; the minute current passing through the specimen is sampled and amplified by a standard resistor, and the resulting value is read on the high‑resistance meter. The digital display directly indicates the resistance value, offering high accuracy, rapid response, excellent stability, and convenient readability.
