The U.S. standard vertical permeameter is used to determine the coefficient of permeability (permeability) of geotextiles in their uncompressed state under standardized test conditions, based on the rate of water flow. This instrument features microcomputer‑based program control, sensor‑based measurement, digitally set head differences, automatic positioning, and automatic conversion, display, storage, statistical analysis, editing, and printing of the permeability coefficient.

ASTM D 4491: Standard Test Method for Determining the Permeability of Geotextiles by the Water-Head Method

Product Features:

1. This device features a 7.8-inch high-definition color touchscreen with a Chinese-language menu interface.

2. The test fixture is manufactured from high-quality aluminum alloy, offering corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, and an elegant, aesthetically pleasing design.

3. Data Acquisition: Bidirectional control between the host and PC (optional), automatic calculation of the permeability coefficient, and printing of results with surface treatment of the instrument body.

4. A transparent acrylic test chamber is used to prevent water splashes and dust ingress.

5. Uses DuPont powder from the United States and an electrostatic powder-coating process, cured at a high temperature of 200°C to ensure colorfastness.

6. Sample clamping method: Samples are loaded in water, and a force‑applying rod is used to secure them.

7. The permeability‑related water collection volume is measured using an advanced laser‑based method, with a high degree of automation.

8. Digital setting of head difference, automatic positioning, automatic conversion of the permeability coefficient, statistical analysis, editing, and printing.
