LBT-ZF-622 Thermal Protection Performance Tester

This instrument is suitable for testing the thermal insulation performance of flame‑retardant protective clothing fabrics when exposed to radiant and convective heat sources. A heat source is placed on one side of the test specimen, while a copper calorimeter is positioned on the opposite side. The test is initiated by sliding the sample holder into position; when the sensor reading reaches the threshold corresponding to the human body’s tolerance for second‑degree burns (a sensor temperature increase of 35°C to 40°C), the sample holder is removed from above the heat source. The time required to produce a second‑degree burn is determined with an accuracy of 0.1 second, based on the intersection point of the response curve and the human tissue tolerance curve.
