The a) fluorescent UV/condensation test method specified in GB/T 16422.2 and GB/T 16422.3, “National Standard of the People’s Republic of China—Artificial Climate Accelerated Testing Methods for Plastics, Coatings, and Rubber Materials Used in Mechanical Industry Products.” Relevant analytical methods are outlined in GB/T 16422.3 and GB/T 16585‑96. GB/T 16585 is the “National Standard of the People’s Republic of China—Test Method for Artificial Climate Aging of Vulcanized Rubber (Fluorescent UV Lamp).” GB/T 16422.3, “Laboratory Exposure Test Methods for Plastics,” along with other applicable standard provisions, serves as the basis for design and manufacturing. The equipment complies with international testing standards, including ASTM D4329, ISO 4892‑3, ISO 11507, SAE J2020, and other current UV aging test standards. It is used to evaluate nonmetallic and organic materials—such as waterproofing materials, coatings, paints, rubbers, plastics, and related products—by subjecting them to cyclic exposure to sunlight, temperature, humidity, and condensation, thereby assessing the extent of material aging. Observed degradation phenomena include browning, discoloration, loss of gloss, chalking, cracking and blistering, embrittlement, and reduced mechanical strength, as well as oxidation, enabling an evaluation of the tested product’s weather resistance.
