A laser particle sizer measures the particle size distribution of a sample by exploiting the scattering of light by particles and analyzing the angular distribution of scattered light intensity. By integrating and optimizing optical, mechanical, electronic, and computational systems, this instrument enables rapid and accurate determination of particle size distributions in solid powders or emulsions, and, via its accompanying software, can generate particle size distribution tables, distribution curves, as well as metrics such as average particle diameter, median diameter, and specific surface area. It features intuitive operation, excellent reproducibility, a wide dynamic range, and ease of use.
