Product Introduction

The LBT 184 digital Strokes viscosity meter is a well‑established model. To use it, simply lower the instrument’s handle, immerse the stirring paddle to the specified depth in the sample being tested, and read directly on the device the sample’s KU value (Krebs) along with its corresponding load value.

This instrument is microcomputer-controlled. The stirring paddle is driven by a special constant-speed motor rotating at 200 r/min, and the torque it experiences as it rotates within the sample under test is converted by the computer into a KU value—expressed in Krebs units—which represents the load required to maintain a rotational speed of 200 r/min. This parameter is commonly used to characterize the viscosity of paints intended for brush‑ or roller‑application. The instrument performs weighted calculations and relevant data processing, automatically discarding measurements that deviate from the central region, thereby enhancing the repeatability of its measurements.
