Product Introduction:

The vertical flame‑spread tester for wires and cables is used to determine the non‑propagating‑flame performance of single‑core plastic wires, control cables, cross‑linked cables, elevator cables, marine cables, mining cables, and similar products. It can also be employed for vertical flame‑spread testing of highly self‑extinguishing, low‑smoke, halogen‑free, flame‑retardant polyolefin insulation compounds, as well as 105°C low‑smoke, halogen‑free, flame‑retardant irradiated polyolefin insulation materials.

Implementation Standard

GB/T 18380.11-2022 “Fire Testing of Cables and Optical Fibers — Part 11: Vertical Flame Propagation Test Apparatus for Single Insulated Wires and Cables”

It is designed in accordance with GB/T 18380.12-2022, “Fire tests on electric and optical cables — Part 12: Test for vertical flame propagation of a single insulated wire or cable — 1 kW pre‑mixed flame test method,” as well as other relevant methods for vertical flame‑propagation testing of individual wires and cables, and adopts IEC 60332‑1/2 by equivalence.
