Product Introduction:
It is applicable to the DL/T 5356 Test Procedure for Coarse-Grained Soils in Hydraulic and Hydroelectric Engineering, as well as to the SL 237‑1999 Geotechnical Testing Procedure for tests involving maximum particle sizes less than 60 mm. It can also be used to calculate the deformation modulus of homogeneous foundation soils. The load test program includes the plate load test, an in-situ test in which incremental loads are applied to a bearing plate of specified area, allowing observation of the soil’s stress–strain response. The results are typically employed to assess the bearing capacity of foundation soils and may also be used to determine their deformation modulus. In field investigations, it is suitable for measuring the collapsibility and collapse initiation pressure of collapsible loess foundations, and it reflects the combined strength and deformation characteristics of the foundation soil within a depth equivalent to twice the diameter or width of the bearing plate.
