Product Description:

1. This steel anvil is an essential calibration tool for calibrating rebound hammers with a nominal kinetic energy of 5.5 J.

2. All components of this steel anvil are manufactured from high-quality carbon steel and premium tool steel. The mating surfaces between the anvil core and the anvil body (Morse taper No. 4) are precision ground, with the core surface hardened to a Rockwell hardness of HRC 58–62. The overall weight of the unit is ≥20 kg.

3. This steel anvil is typically placed on a horizontal surface and used to calibrate the rebound hammer. The rebound hammer’s calibration value is determined through impact tests conducted either vertically downward or in the horizontal direction. When a rebound hammer with a nominal kinetic energy of 5.5 J is used to perform impact tests on this steel anvil, its average calibration value is [N] = 83 ± 2;

4. As an inspection tool, after undergoing 5,000 to 8,000 impact cycles, the steel anvil base may have its anvil core and body re‑ground on a surface grinder to achieve a flat surface for reuse; however, the hardness of the anvil core must remain within the range of HRC 58–62. Otherwise, it shall not be further used.

5. The steel anvil shall be stored in a dry, dust-free environment to prevent rusting. The impact test surface must be protected from accidental impacts to ensure that the testing instrument remains in its standard condition at all times.
