Description
Product Introduction
This product uses a xenon lamp as its light source, simulating the full solar spectrum. It is an accelerated weathering test apparatus that enhances resistance to environmental degradation, enabling rapid acquisition of results that closely mimic atmospheric aging, thereby facilitating the evaluation of material durability. Weathering testing is a crucial tool for screening formulations and optimizing product compositions during research and production, and it also constitutes an essential component of product quality inspection. Industry standards for materials such as coatings and plastics mandate weathering tests.
This product is rigorously tested for aging by exposing material samples to the light and thermal radiation of a xenon arc lamp, thereby evaluating the lightfastness and weathering resistance of certain materials under high‑temperature illumination.
It is suitable for plastics, rubber, paints, coatings, inks, paper, pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, textiles, automotive components, packaging materials, construction materials, and electrical and electronic products. This is a comprehensive climate‑testing apparatus that, in addition to conducting climatic aging tests, can also evaluate the lightfastness of polymeric materials—specifically, by exposing these materials to an artificial light source that simulates the solar spectrum transmitted through glass, thereby assessing their resistance to light degradation. The base is equipped with high‑quality, lockable PU casters. The observation window is constructed from multi‑layer hollow tempered glass.
Reference standard:
The technical parameters are designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 16422.2 “Plastics—Methods of Exposure to Laboratory Light Sources—Part 2: Xenon Arc Lamps.” It also complies with the following standards: GB/T 1865‑97 (2007), GB/T 9344, GB/T 16422.2, GB/T 2423.24‑1995, ASTM G155, ISO 10SB02/B04, SAE J2527, SAE J2412, and GB/T 18244 (which requires a custom broadband irradiance probe covering 300–400 nm and 340 nm, as well as a customized instrument featuring single‑wavelength switching).

Overview of the Overall Structure:
1. The entire cabinet shell is constructed from stainless steel; the inner wall of the test chamber is made of high‑grade, corrosion‑resistant SUS304 mirror‑finish stainless steel. The structure is rationally designed, manufactured with meticulous craftsmanship, and features an aesthetically pleasing interior and exterior. In accordance with the laboratory’s temperature requirements, the insulation layer is specified at 100 mm thick. (The top houses the light source housing, which is hinged for convenient lamp maintenance and repair.)
2. The insulation material between the inner and outer boxes is high-quality ultra-fine glass fiber insulation cotton, providing excellent thermal insulation for both cold and hot conditions.
3. The door and door frame are fitted with imported sealing materials and a unique silicone seal structure, ensuring excellent sealing performance.
4. Test chamber door structure: single-door design. The door lock, hinges, and other hardware components are original KUNLONG‑branded parts.
5. The cabinet’s air duct system employs a dual‑circulation design, comprising a long‑shaft axial fan, a stainless‑steel multi‑blade centrifugal impeller, and a recirculating air duct. With airflow exiting from the top and entering from the bottom, the internal temperature is evenly distributed, enhancing air flow rate as well as heating and cooling performance, thereby significantly improving the uniformity of temperature and humidity within the test chamber.
6. Blackboard temperature: bimetallic blackboard thermometer;
7. Humidification method: External, isolated, all-stainless-steel, shallow-surface evaporative humidifier;
8. Heating System: Fully independent system, with nickel-chromium alloy electric heaters;
9. Water Supply System: Humidification water supply is automatically controlled by a pump.
10. Temperature–Humidity Cycling System: Equipped with a high‑temperature‑resistant, low‑noise, long‑shaft fan motor and a stainless‑steel multi‑blade impeller capable of withstanding both high and low temperatures, ensuring robust convective vertical diffusion and circulation.
11. Two spray nozzles were installed at the top of the workstation;
12. Irradiance control: The required irradiance can be achieved by automatically adjusting the power output via a radiometer.
