Product Introduction
The chemical composition of asphalt can be separated into four fractions: saturates, aromatics, resins, and asphaltenes. Variations in the relative proportions of these fractions give rise to differences in asphalt’s properties. By employing a Fourier‑transform infrared spectrometer and analyzing and comparing infrared spectra, rapid classification of asphalt can be achieved. Infrared spectroscopy is an essential tool for elucidating the structures of organic compounds, particularly for identifying functional groups in SBS‑modified asphalt. Using an infrared‑based rapid asphalt‑testing system, asphalt samples can be compared against a database of reference spectra, enabling accurate authentication of their authenticity.
Each brand and model of asphalt possesses a unique fingerprint spectrum; by comparing these spectra, one can identify the brand, model, batch, and origin. Furthermore, analysis of characteristic absorption peaks in the fingerprint spectrum enables the detection of additives such as SBS and SBR, adulterants, and the degree of aging. This instrument is a high‑performance, cost‑effective Fourier‑transform infrared spectrometer meticulously developed in‑house by our company. It features easy installation, straightforward operation, and convenient maintenance, making it widely applicable for both qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic compounds, inorganic substances, polymers, and more. With robust expandability, it can be equipped with accessories such as diffuse reflectance, ATR (attenuated total reflection), and non‑contact external reflection modules, delivering outstanding performance. Boasting ease of installation, simplicity of use, and low‑maintenance requirements, this instrument is an indispensable tool for spectroscopic analysis in fields like materials science, biomedicine, petrochemicals, and food safety. It is also a standard analytical device in laboratories across relevant disciplines at universities and research institutes. Since its launch, it has firmly established itself as a market leader in China, earning the trust and support of a broad user base.
Experimental principle: Based on the interferometric frequency-modulation technique, light from the source is converted into an interference pattern by a Michelson interferometer. The resulting interference light is then directed onto the sample, and a detector captures the interference signal carrying information about the sample. Finally, computer software applies a Fourier transform to reconstruct the sample’s spectrum.
Product Features
1. Real-time status monitoring: Continuously monitors all optical components—including the interferometer, light source, detector, and beam splitter—providing real-time readings of current, voltage, and temperature for key elements. It identifies faults and offers guidance on troubleshooting, ensuring the instrument remains in optimal operating condition and delivering more accurate and reliable spectral measurements.
2. Long-life light source: Imported high-energy, high-efficiency, long-life light source; features automatic sleep mode to extend the light source’s lifespan.
3. Humidity Indication and Moisture-Proof Technology:
(1) A sealed, dry optical chamber with a specially treated moisture‑proof window design effectively resists external solvents and water vapor.
(2) A compartmentalized design ensures that each chamber remains independent and maintains a sealed, dry environment.
(3) Multi-channel purging mode is available;
(4) Easy-to-replace stainless steel desiccant cartridges; integrated humidity indicator;
(5) Equipped with a humidity‑monitoring software featuring an automatic digital display and an automatic alert for desiccant replacement.
4. Highly stable optical system:
The optical table features an integrated design, with the entire structure molded in one piece and key components precisely positioned during initial assembly—eliminating the need for post‑assembly adjustments and significantly enhancing the instrument’s mechanical stability and long-term reliability.
5. High-performance electronic system:
The latest 24-bit A/D conversion technology, combined with a genuine imported infrared detector, ensures accurate and reliable data, real-time acquisition, and high-speed transmission.
6. High-precision optical system:
The monolithic gold‑plated corner cube features excellent angular alignment and an enlarged reflective surface, ensuring higher luminous flux and superior reflectivity. Its facets exhibit exceptional perpendicularity, and the adhesive‑free design eliminates sensitivity to ambient temperature fluctuations, thereby maximizing instrument stability.
7. Intelligent Protection System:
The sealed‑type interferometer features rapid humidity detection, reducing the maintenance workload for operators. A distinct color change alerts users to replace the desiccant promptly, addressing the most significant potential hazard in infrared applications. The desiccant can be replaced independently without opening the instrument’s cover.
8. Diverse accessory options:
Attachment replacement and experimental setup are straightforward, and the spacious sample chamber allows for easy integration of additional infrared accessories, such as ATR units, gas cells, liquid cells, and polarization accessories.
