Product Introduction

As the temperature decreases, asphalt materials gradually transition from a visco‑plastic state to an elastic‑brittle state. Consequently, their plasticity diminishes while their brittleness increases. This instrument is designed to determine the brittle point of asphalt at low temperatures.

This test apparatus involves coating a specific metal sheet with a thin asphalt film. Within an insulated tank equipped with a cooling system, the metal sheet is bent using a bending device. As the temperature decreases, so does the temperature of the asphalt film; when it reaches a certain threshold, the temperature at which the asphalt film fractures under specified bending conditions is recorded.
