Product Introduction:
Fully automatic penetration test apparatus for cast‑in‑place asphalt mixtures. This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in Appendix “Penetration Test for Cast‑In‑Place Asphalt Mixtures” of the national industry standard JTG/T 3364‑02‑2019, “Technical Specification for Design and Construction of Steel Bridge Deck Pavements on Highways,” as well as the newly added standard T0768‑2025, “Penetration Test for Cast‑In‑Place Asphalt Mixtures,” contained in JTG 3410‑2025, “Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering. It is suitable for determining the penetration depth and the increment of penetration of cast‑in‑place asphalt mixtures under specified temperature and loading conditions, thereby enabling the evaluation of their high‑temperature stability and facilitating the mix design and quality control of such materials.
System Composition
The testing apparatus is a floor‑mounted, monolithic structure supported by four casters. It comprises a frame, a three‑station loading test unit, a constant‑temperature water bath, an air‑supply system, a computer, and control software, among other components.

2. The display provides comprehensive and intuitive information, showing load–time and displacement curves as well as numerical values in real time. Users can view data at any specific time point, while test data is stored indefinitely, allowing access to historical records and the printing of test reports.
3. The interface is easy to use, and key parameters can be flexibly adjusted and configured.
4. Equipped with three specimen‑testing units, it can simultaneously measure the penetration depth of three specimens, thereby enhancing testing efficiency and versatility while significantly reducing test duration.
5. This design eliminates the previous challenges of cumbersome test‑mass replacement, low testing efficiency, and poor measurement accuracy. A pneumatic cylinder now replaces the test masses to apply a constant load to the penetration rod, with the cylinder’s loading pressure controlled by a solenoid valve actuated by an air compressor. A pressure transducer continuously acquires real‑time loading‑pressure data, ensuring stable and consistent loading. This approach removes the need for workers to repeatedly handle heavy masses, reduces safety risks, and enables automated, lightweight instrument operation.
6. By using a high-precision displacement sensor to acquire penetration rod displacement data in real time, measurement accuracy is ensured, eliminating errors associated with manual readings and calculations and yielding more precise penetration values.
7. Test preloading data and penetration data are recorded and processed separately, ensuring clearer and more straightforward data interpretation.
8. The water bath is equipped with a circulation pump to keep the water in motion and maintain a constant temperature at the level required for the test, ensuring uniform temperature distribution.
