The properties of mortar are essentially the same as those of concrete. For certain special‑purpose mortars, such as waterproof mortar, requirements for impermeability are also specified—namely, the mortar must be able to resist the penetration of pressurized water. The SS‑15 mortar permeability tester is used to determine the impermeability of mortar; similar to concrete permeability testers, it is easy to use, simple to operate, and equipped with an automatic constant‑pressure device, making it suitable for application in production, construction, design, research, and educational settings. It is designed in accordance with JGJ/T 70, “Standard for Test Methods of Basic Properties of Building Mortar.”
