Its housing is fabricated by stamping and welding thickened stainless‑steel plates, ensuring easy cleaning and excellent corrosion resistance. The instrument operates on the combined principles of centrifugal force and gravity, employing a funnel‑type continuous feed system and separation processes to treat filtrates, making it widely used in asphalt and asphalt mixture testing for highway engineering.
