LBTC-337 Adhesive Material: Fixture for Measuring the Direct Shear Bond Strength Between the Bonding Reinforcement and the Substrate

This method is used to determine the direct‑tensile bond strength of the following reinforcement materials bonded to substrates—using structural adhesives, interface adhesives, or polymer mortars as bonding agents (including application by coating, spraying, or pouring)—under uniform tensile stress, resulting in cohesive, adhesive, or mixed failure: fiber‑reinforced composite materials bonded to concrete substrates; steel plates bonded to concrete substrates; structural polymer mortar layers (or composite mortar layers) bonded to concrete substrates; and structural interface adhesives bonded to concrete substrates. It is not applicable to determining the direct‑tensile bond strength of carbon‑fiber fabrics with a mass exceeding 300 g/m² bonded to concrete substrates when applied, bonded, and cured at room temperature.

Product Introduction:

This method is used to determine the direct‑tensile bond strength of the following reinforcement materials bonded to substrates—using structural adhesives, interface adhesives, or polymer mortars as bonding agents (including application by coating, spraying, or pouring)—under uniform tensile stress, resulting in cohesive, adhesive, or mixed failure: fiber‑reinforced composite materials bonded to concrete substrates; steel plates bonded to concrete substrates; structural polymer mortar layers (or composite mortar layers) bonded to concrete substrates; and structural interface adhesives bonded to concrete substrates. It is not applicable to determining the direct‑tensile bond strength of carbon‑fiber fabrics with a mass greater than 300 g/m² bonded to concrete substrates when applied, bonded, and cured at room temperature.

Reference standard:

Meets the technical requirements specified in JG/T 3049-1998 “Putty for Interior Use in Buildings,” JGJ/T 70-2009 “Standard for Test Methods of Basic Properties of Mortar,” and Appendix E of GB 50550-2010 “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Structure Strengthening Projects.”

It is used in conjunction with a testing machine to determine the tensile bond strength of mortar.
