Description
Product Introduction
The self‑compacting concrete L‑shaped box is primarily used to evaluate the penetrability of self‑compacting concrete, specifically its ability to pass through densely spaced reinforcement. The apparatus employed in this method comprises an L‑shaped box fabricated from steel plate, a partition with a movable door, and a detachable reinforcing mesh, among other components.
Instructions for use:
Place the L-shaped flow meter on a horizontal, stable surface and close the partition’s movable door.
Moisten the interior of the mold with water and wipe away any excess water, then fill the vertical section of the apparatus with concrete specimens.
Let stand for 1 minute.
Raise the movable gate to allow the concrete to flow through the reinforcing steel into the horizontal box. At the same time, start the stopwatch to record the time it takes for the concrete to pass through the steel mesh and reach the edges of the horizontal beams and columns.
When the concrete ceases to flow, observe whether a height difference exists on either side of the steel mesh, i.e., whether the concrete has achieved uniform leveling.
The entire experimental procedure must be completed within 5 minutes.
