Product Introduction

This method specifies the test procedures for evaluating the properties of extruded edge‑wall concrete and the mix‑design approach for such concrete. This standard applies to the quality assessment and scientific testing of extruded edge‑wall concrete used in concrete‑faced rockfill dams in hydraulic and hydropower engineering projects.

Technical Specifications:

The testing equipment shall be a press or material testing machine with Class 1 accuracy, having a capacity of 300 kN to 600 kN. The anticipated failure load should fall within the range of 20% to 80% of the machine’s full-scale capacity. The distance between the upper and lower platens shall be no less than 30 cm.
2. Steel test mold: 150 × 150 × 150. The inner walls of the mold shall be coated with a thin layer of mineral oil or a release agent.
3. Within the effective height of 100 mm, the cross-sectional dimensions of the steel mold sleeve are identical to those of the steel test mold, measuring 150 × 150 mm.
