The LBTHR-150 fully automatic end‑quench hardness tester series is a next‑generation, high‑tech intelligent instrument. It features a closed‑loop loading control system, delivering exceptional test force accuracy and excellent repeatability and stability of readings. The housing is integrally cast and finished with an automotive‑grade baked paint process, boasting a modern design and outstanding reliability, operability, and reproducibility. With comprehensive functionality and one‑button operation, it enables fully automated measurements and provides clear, intuitive display. Equipped with automatic application and removal of test force, it supports hardness testing across the entire Rockwell scale range. Optional accessories include an XY‑axis automatic positioning stage for automated programming and point‑by‑point measurement, ideal for end‑quench tests; as well as a PC interface that allows remote control and data acquisition via computer, along with statistical analysis and generation of test reports. Customized test reports can also be tailored to meet specific user requirements. This system achieves fully automated operation, eliminating human error in handling and reading. Additionally, the unit is fitted with an emergency stop device.
Main uses and scope of application:
Surface‑hardened steels, copper and aluminum alloy sheets, strip steel, cemented carbides, as well as galvanized, chrome‑plated, and tin‑plated materials—along with various metallic materials undergoing surface heat treatment or chemical surface treatments, and castings and forgings of both flat and cylindrical shapes. These are widely used in the steel, nonferrous metals, automotive, and aerospace industries, as well as in cemented carbides, ceramics, and stainless steels. Due to its broad applicability, Rockwell hardness testing has become extensively adopted in manufacturing, serving as a key method for quality inspection and for determining optimal processing parameters. The Rockwell hardness tester is a commonly employed instrument in production facilities, colleges and universities, and research institutions for conducting hardness tests and supporting teaching and research activities.
Key Functions and Features:
1. The 8-inch LCD touch display provides a clear, intuitive view of the displacement sensor and force sensor operating status, hardness values, converted hardness, test method, test force, light intensity, initial test force hold time, total test force hold time, elastic recovery time, number of measurements, statistical data, test duration, and other key parameters of the testing process.
2. With a single button, the specimen is raised, the indenter applies load, holds the load, and releases it; the hardness value is displayed, and the test table returns to its initial position. When used in conjunction with an XY‑stage motorized test table, the software allows you to define a scanning path for continuous hardness testing.
3. The system features a built-in calibration function that can automatically adjust the error range to 80–120%, or perform separate calibrations for low and high values.
4. When testing curved surfaces, automatic correction is applied based on the standard surface radius.
5. It can store 100 sets of test data, allowing you to view the data at any time, as well as delete the current data or clear all test data.
6. The units of test force can be converted between each other; the conversion units are: (kgf, N).
7. Can simultaneously display: average value, number of tests, and product name.
8. The main interface can simultaneously display four conversion scales and allows switching among the following standards: Chinese National Standard (GB), American Standard (ASTM), and International Standard (ISO). A total of 20 measurement scales are supported for conversion, including HRA, HRB, HRC, HRD, HRE, HRF, HRG, HRK, HR15N, HR30N, HR45N, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, HK, HBW, HS, HBS, HV, and Rm (tensile strength).
9. You can set the screen sleep timeout; after a prolonged period of inactivity, the display will automatically enter sleep mode, saving energy and protecting the environment.
10. The upper and lower measurement limits can be set and displayed on the main measurement screen; non‑conforming values trigger an automatic alarm.
11. The operating system supports 14 languages, which can be switched at will: Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Czech, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese.
12. The instrument is equipped with a built-in printer, and test data can also be exported via USB to a USB flash drive for storage and analysis; the software can generate reports in Word and Excel formats.
13. This instrument is particularly well suited for end-quench testing and can fully comply with the requirements of GB/T 225-2006, “End‑Quench Test Method for Hardening Depth of Steel.” After setting the hardness‑testing path, the test can be completed with a single button press. An optional three‑station holder enables continuous measurement of three end‑quenched specimens (the holder can be upgraded to accommodate up to six stations).
14. The cast housing features a one-piece, integral structure that remains stable and deformation‑free; its pure white automotive baked finish exudes high quality, offers excellent scratch resistance, and retains a like‑new shine even after years of use.
