Product Introduction:

The Model 06 Electrolytic Polishing and Etching Instrument is a metallographic sample preparation device that integrates electrolytic polishing and etching functions. It is suitable for use in laboratories at factories, colleges and universities, and research institutions. This equipment employs electrochemical principles to prepare metallographic specimens; it can also be used for polishing and etching metallographic samples. With advantages such as rapid sample preparation, excellent reproducibility, and the absence of deformation layers caused by mechanical machining, it is an ideal choice for preparing metallographic specimens of nonferrous metals, steels, and especially stainless steels.

  The equipment boasts a wide voltage and current range, enabling simultaneous polishing and etching of various materials. It supports both constant‑current and constant‑voltage operation modes, with coarse and fine adjustment switches for voltage and current, allowing precise and stable setting of target values. Voltage and current regulation and display achieve an accuracy of two decimal places, while the electrical signal exhibits low ripple and high stability. The power supply features overvoltage, overheating, and mains‑input undervoltage/overvoltage protection. It also enables control of polishing/etching durations, and a thermostated stirring system ensures uniformity of the polishing/etching medium, maintaining consistent conditions across the sample surface.

Product Advantages:

  1. Temperature Measurement and Control System: Equipped with temperature‑measuring functionality, the system displays the solution temperature in real time on the controller. It can heat the solution within a range of 0 to 99°C. When the solution temperature exceeds the set point, the water valve must be manually opened to initiate cooling, thereby maintaining constant‑temperature control.

  2. External cooling circulation: During the corrosion‑polishing process, reactions generate heat; a cooling system removes this heat, preventing the corrosive solution from boiling and overflowing.

  3. Constant Voltage and Current Regulation: The voltage and current can be adjusted in multiple coarse and fine steps, with precise settings within the range of 0–100 V for voltage and 150–6000 mA for current. Current values can be displayed to two decimal places and adjusted during operation.

  4.7-inch resistive touch screen: Featuring a 7-inch resistive display, it supports touch operation even when wearing protective gloves. Compared with LED and digital tube displays, it offers more responsive control, a more robust system, higher precision, and greater durability.

  5. Operating Status Indication: Real-time display of overcurrent device status, including [Normal, Timeout (OT), Overcurrent (0C), Overvoltage (OV), Overpower (0P), Fault (FAULT)].

  6. Polishing/Corrosion Timing: The polishing and corrosion durations are programmable (1–9,999 seconds) and feature multi‑step coarse adjustment as well as fine‑tuning. Set the desired times according to the included polishing/corrosion parameter table, then proceed with the operation.

  7. Polishing/Corrosion Medium Agitation System: The agitation system is equipped with a continuously variable-speed knob, enabling independent adjustment within the range of 200–2000 r/min, thereby ensuring uniform distribution of the polishing and corrosion media.

  8. Gas Exhaust Ports: This unit is equipped with three gas exhaust ports, which effectively prevent liquid expansion caused by corrosive liquids during heating or by the generation of gases.

  9. Reaction vessel: The vessel is a high‑temperature, corrosion‑resistant glass beaker with graduated markings on the exterior, allowing for easy observation of the liquid volume inside.
