Mounting of metallographic specimens is a critical step in the specimen preparation process, particularly for tiny, difficult-to-handle samples or those with irregular shapes. After mounting, the specimens achieve consistent dimensions, making them easier to handle and suitable for subsequent fully automated grinding and polishing—ideally used in conjunction with our company’s dedicated fully automatic grinder/polisher for optimal results. When high‑temperature molding is not feasible, a high‑pressure mounting press is required. Our high‑pressure cold‑mounting machine employs advanced pressure technology, delivering up to 2 bar of pressure to ensure thorough removal of air bubbles during the curing process. This guarantees rapid curing of the cold‑mounting resin while preserving the physicochemical properties of the resin–curing agent mixture, enabling fast curing of all cold‑mounting resins and producing high‑quality specimens. It is especially well suited for metallographic laboratories in industrial settings, colleges, and research institutions, making it an excellent choice for mounting metallographic samples.
