The LbG-100D touch-screen precision low-speed metallographic and petrographic sample preparation cutting machine is particularly well suited for slicing small, soft, brittle, or irregularly shaped specimens of metals, composite materials, plastics, electronic components, biomaterials, ceramics, cement, rocks, and minerals; it is also commonly used for preparing thin-section samples. This machine employs gravity‑fed straight‑cutting with a weight‑block load and automatically stops upon completion of the cut. A micrometer adjustment mechanism allows precise control over specimen thickness. Equipped with a touch‑screen interface, it offers clear, user‑friendly operation and enables adjustable diamond‑grinding wheel speeds. To prevent overheating and thermal damage during cutting, the unit features a removable coolant reservoir; as the diamond cutting wheel rotates, it carries coolant across the cutting surface, ensuring effective cooling of both the wheel and the specimen. The resulting cut surfaces are smooth, flat, and free from burns. With its compact design, minimal footprint, and ease of operation, maintenance, and servicing, this equipment is an ideal choice for metallographic sample preparation in colleges, universities, and industrial facilities.
