Description


Product Introduction

The electric relative density meter is suitable for coarse-grained soils (including sands and gravels) with a particle size of up to 60 mm, provided they are capable of free drainage. It is also applicable to fine-grained soils containing particles smaller than 0.075 mm, with a fine‑particle content not exceeding 12%. For fine-grained soils, the material must be sand or gravel that can drain freely, with a maximum particle size of 5 mm; moreover, the mass of particles in the 2–5 mm size range should not exceed 15% of the total sample mass. The instrument is used to determine the maximum and minimum dry densities of soil samples.
