Description
Product Introduction:
The QCJ‑2000 digital planimeter can rapidly measure the area of closed figures on a plane. It is widely used in agriculture, forestry, geology, exploration, water resources management, urban planning, land surveys, and other fields, serving as an essential instrument for engineers and technical professionals engaged in scientific research, production guidance, and area measurement. Scale settings and unit selections are retained even after power loss. Both the measured area on the map and the corresponding actual area—after scaling—are displayed simultaneously. Upon completion of a measurement, the display can be switched to show results in different units. The device automatically calculates cumulative totals and averages (for up to 99 data sets). Measurement data can be stored and viewed locally, or uploaded via USB to a serial‑port terminal.
Product Features:
1. Scale setting is saved even after a power outage.
2. Unit settings are retained even after a power outage.
3. The actual area, after converting the area on the map and the scale, is displayed simultaneously.
4. After completing the measurement, you can switch between different units to display the results.
5. Automatically calculates cumulative sums and averages (up to 99 data sets).
6. The device can store and view measurement data locally, and it can also upload the data to a serial‑port terminal via USB.

Instructions for use:
1. Mark the starting point on the area to be measured.
2. Press and hold the “Power/Return” button for approximately 2 seconds to turn on the device; upon startup, the instrument will directly enter the measurement-ready screen. K denotes the scale factor, and C indicates the number of measurements.
3. Align the sight’s reticle with the starting point, ensuring that the roller axis remains as perpendicular as possible to the sighting arm.
4. Press the “Confirm” button; after hearing a “beep,” the instrument will enter measurement mode. At this point, hold the sighting ring with your hand and gently drag the instrument, ensuring that the crosshair remains aligned with the contour of the area to be measured. Be careful not to lift or tilt the sight upward. During measurement, pressing the “Return” button will cancel the current measurement. Once the crosshair returns to the starting point, keep the instrument stationary and press the “Confirm” button to complete the measurement. The display will show the values for “Area on Map,” “Actual Area,” “Average Area,” and “Total Area.” At the top of the screen, the measurement count C is displayed; a long press of the “Confirm” button saves the currently displayed actual area value (with the storage sequence number shown at the top), while a short press of the “Down” button changes the display unit, and a long press of the “Up” button clears the recorded measurement data.
5. Return to the main menu; from the “View” menu, you can view and clear the saved data, or upload it to a computer’s serial terminal via USB. The serial port settings are: 115200, 8, N, 1.
6. In the main menu, select “Settings” to configure the scale, measurement units, and shutdown delay time. While adjusting these settings, use the “Up” key to change the value and the “Down” key to move the cursor; finally, press the “Confirm” key to save your changes.
Packing List: One QCJ-2000 planimeter; one charger; one instruction manual; one certificate of conformity.
