Description
Product Introduction:
It is used to measure the electrostatic decay time of film‑ or sheet‑shaped specimens made from medical protective clothing materials, nonwoven fabrics, composite materials, and thin films—materials employed in environments with specific electrostatic requirements—after applying a ±5,000 V voltage, by determining the time it takes for the peak voltage to decay to a specified percentage or a specified voltage level.
Product Features:
1. Fully computer-controlled, the testing process displays real-time electrostatic data curves, automatically calculates results, and saves test outcomes for retrieval and printing of test reports.
2. The test chamber employs a metallic electrostatic shielding structure (in accordance with relevant standards), thereby preventing external electric fields from affecting the test results and also shielding the internal high-voltage electrostatic field of the instrument from influencing the external environment.
3. To facilitate testing within the environmental test chamber, all power and communication cable connectors on the instrument are mounted on the left side. (The cable exit ports of environmental test chambers are typically located on the left side.)
4. To address the potential for condensation when the doors of the environmental test chamber are opened or closed, the instrument’s indicator lights, switches, and electrical connection plugs and sockets are all selected from components with a high waterproof rating.
5. The upper and lower grips of the specimen are designed with a spring‑loaded clamping mechanism that automatically releases the clamps, making specimen mounting more convenient.
Note: The instrument shall be tested in an environment with controlled air temperature and humidity, or used in conjunction with an environmental test chamber, to ensure that the test conditions meet the requirements of the relevant test standards.
Reference standard:
● GB 19082-2009 Technical Requirements for Medical Disposable Protective Clothing, Clause 5.10: Electrostatic Decay Performance
● YY/T 0867-2011 Test method for the electrostatic decay time of nonwoven fabrics
● INDA IST40.2(01) Standard Test Method for Electrostatic Decay of Nonwoven Fabrics (American Nonwovens Association, Standard Test Method for Electrostatic Decay of Nonwoven Fabrics)
