Used to test the elongation of woven and knitted fabrics.

Working principle:

The specimen is securely clamped at both ends between the instrument’s front and rear grips, maintaining a specified gauge length. A tensile force is applied to the moving grip and held for a set duration, after which the elongation is calculated based on the change in distance between the two grips before and after stretching.
