Working principle:

Hot Nut Method: Heat a stainless steel nut in a muffle furnace to 900°C. Place the test specimen in the test chamber, use crucible tongs to position the retaining ring on the specimen, and set the heated nut at the center of the retaining ring. After 30 seconds, remove the nut, after which measurements can be taken to evaluate the spread of ignition points on the sample.

Urotropine tablet method: Place the test specimen in the test chamber, position the retaining ring on the specimen, ignite the standard tablet, and once the flame has extinguished, proceed with measurements to evaluate the combustion performance.
