Description
Product Introduction:
It is used in research across biochemistry, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, healthcare, agricultural science, environmental protection, and other fields. It is suitable for powder drying, baking, disinfection, and sterilization, and can be purged with inert gas internally. It is particularly well-suited for the rapid and efficient drying of heat‑sensitive, easily decomposable, readily oxidizable, and complex‑composition materials.
Product Features:
1. The vacuum environment significantly lowers the boiling point of liquids that need to be removed, allowing vacuum drying ovens to be readily used for heat-sensitive materials.
2. For samples that are difficult to dry, such as powders or other granular materials, vacuum drying can effectively reduce the drying time.
3. Various mechanically complex components and other porous samples, after cleaning, are dried using vacuum drying, leaving no residual contaminants.
4. Enhanced safety: under vacuum or inert conditions, the risk of thermal shock‑induced cracking caused by oxide formation is eliminated.
5. Compared with conventional drying ovens that rely on air circulation, powdered samples are not blown or displaced by the flowing air.
6. When the set pressure is reached, the vacuum pump automatically stops; when the pressure drops below the set level, the vacuum pump automatically starts (optional).
7. Optional multi-segment programmable mode.
Working principle:
1. Vacuum Environment: A vacuum drying oven uses a vacuum system to remove air from the chamber, creating a negative-pressure environment. In such an environment, the mean free path of gas molecules increases, and collisions between them decrease, thereby reducing heat-transfer pathways and facilitating the evaporation of moisture or volatile substances from the material.
2. Heat Conduction: Vacuum drying ovens are typically equipped with a heating system that raises the temperature of the material. When the material is placed in a vacuum environment, the poor thermal conductivity of the vacuum causes moisture or volatile substances on the material’s surface to evaporate more rapidly, thereby achieving the desired drying effect.
The work process is as follows:
1. Place the material to be processed in the container of the drying oven, ensuring a tight seal.
2. Start the vacuum system to evacuate the air from the chamber, creating a negative-pressure environment.
3. Activate the heating system to supply adequate heat, thereby raising the material’s temperature.
4. Within the specified time, the moisture or volatile substances in the material will gradually evaporate.
5. After the drying process is complete, shut down both the heating and vacuum systems. Once the pressure inside the drying chamber has returned to atmospheric, remove the treated material.
*It should be noted that fully automatic vacuum drying ovens are typically equipped with automated control systems that monitor and regulate parameters such as temperature, vacuum level, and time, enabling precise control of the drying process. In addition, these ovens may offer other features, such as recirculation modes and preset programs, to meet the processing requirements of various materials.
